Located on the east coast of Mallorca, the caves are one of the island's greatest natural wonders. The tangle of caves and tunnels stretches for 2.4 km and reaches a height of 25 m. The main attraction of the caves is Lake Martel, one of the largest underground water reservoirs in the world. A classical music concert takes place every day in her hall. In the extraordinary scenery you can listen to works by Chopin, Caballero or Offenbach.
After the performances, short boat rides are organized to get to know the caves. Porto Cristo is a good starting point for the caves.

The caves are located on the east coast. They are easy to find, but be careful not to confuse them with another cave in Porto Cristo.
Tickets
Ticket for adults over 13 years € 15, children from 3 to 12 years € 8, children up to 2 years admission free. If you pay at the counter, 1 € must be added to each ticket.

Opening hours
From November 1 to April 30: 10:30, 12:00, 14:00 and 15:30
From May 1 to October 31: 12:00 and 14:00
Only on December 25 and January 1 the caves are closed.
The caves are entered in groups of 200-300 people. There are guards waiting in the cave to keep order. Everything is perfectly integrated into the surrounding forest, an interesting fact is that Cuevas del Drach belong to a private owner.
Due to the caves, the opening hours are separate. If you come to the caves too late, you may find that there are no tickets left for the hour.

Photo & Video
During the tour, you can take photos and videos without using a flash, spotlights or tripods, taking care not to disturb other guests or delay your group.
You are not allowed to take photos or videos during the concert. Always follow the instructions of the staff.
Infrastructure
Free parking, gardens, bar, gift shop, steam room, public telephone, dining room, bus stop and ATM are available.
Porto Cristo, with its many shops, bars and restaurants, is 500 meters away. The beach is right in front of the port from where you can take a boat trip on Mallorca's east coast.

It is situated at a depth of 25 m and is 177 m long and 230 m wide. Rowing boats sail on it, the journey, albeit short, but very exciting.
How much time for sightseeing?
The tour of the caves will take you approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Successively we come to the amphitheater room in which we are sitting. After training in several languages, we learn that we cannot film, record audio or take pictures.
The concert itself lasts about 12 minutes and is an amazing show of light and sound. Provided that one of the young children is not afraid of the dark and starts to independently test the acoustic capabilities of the underground amphitheater :-)))
Do I recommend Cuevas del Drach
Yes of course. The place is beautiful and unusual. For 15 euro we get a fascinating experience for body and soul. A beautiful musical performance and an unforgettable experience. An absolute must when visiting Mallorca.
