This is how the hotel manager praises the place
How is it actually?

The hotel welcomes us with a spacious lobby where we feel treated with great attention. The check-in process is fast and efficient.
The views are breathtaking, the lobby overlooks the garden and the lagoon.

After a few steps towards the sea, our attention was drawn to an unidentified flying object with a wingspan of over 1.5 m.
Yes, it's a bat, and basically a whole pack that lives near the lobby.
After the first mixed feelings, we got used to tenants who do not interfere with relaxation, but even create a unique atmosphere in the evenings.
Bats are completely harmless - they eat only fruit :-)

All paths are covered with coarse sand. Walking around it makes us feel relaxed, most of the time we walked barefoot.
Everywhere we are surrounded by lush, infinitely green vegetation. At the end of the path, a prize awaits us :-)

The beach in the western part is covered with stones, the landscape is straight from the Seychelles

After a long journey, it's time to relax in peace for a while.
We were given a room on the ground floor with access to the lawn, coconut trees and access to the pool
A bottle of wine and a fruit basket await us in the room!

The apartment is spacious, we get a family version with an additional room for children.
All rooms in the hotel have a sea view - some bigger, some smaller! :-)

The room is very spacious with a bath area, large round bathtub and shower

All rooms and apartments are set in 2 and 3-storey buildings decorated in a Mauritian style. Each of the buildings is surrounded by vegetation, so even in the vicinity of the entrance to the rooms, we feel as if we lived in a tropical forest.
We deliberately did not choose the half-board option, as we do not like eating in hotel eateries. As part of our stay, we used the Club option, which is available only when booking via the hotel website, without the participation of intermediaries such as booking.com or hotels.com
It turned out to be a hit because we got access to the Plantation Club, which is the pearl in the crown of the entire southern coast of the island.

The Plantation Club is on the eastern side of the property. During our stay, a maximum of 30 people were admitted, of which we counted 16.
Plantation Club is immersed in lush vegetation, it is here peace and quiet.
Total chillout.

We had a private swimming pool at our disposal, which our daughter had exclusive use when we were enjoying the local rum and delicacies

We discovered what the most valuable thing about it is during the dinner, where lobsters and crawfish were served
The restaurant prides itself on its own stock of seafood from the lagoon and fruit and vegetables grown on its own farm.
Service at the level of a top restaurant in Paris.
Food sophisticated, yet perfect in simplicity. Everything to the accompaniment of a musical trio.
A feast for the senses and the body.
Club Plantation made an amazing impression on us and it is absolutely worth the money
Culinary is an aspect to which the Outrigger network pays special attention
There is the famous Mercado restaurant on the premises, which is featured on most Mauritius folders and websites

Here we can eat very varied dishes, in a typical hotel style. Most dishes are made from bain maries.
We do not prefer this type of food :-(
Luckily, the Edgewater restaurant is just a few steps away, located directly by the sea.
Great food interspersed with great. Very good dish, chasing outstanding!
In addition, there is a wide selection of wines from around the world.
We were enchanted by fresh crawfish and giant octopus - everything comes from the nearby fishing village

For this amazing view of the lagoon

Fabulous sunsets

If you use participation in the DiscoveryLoyalty.com club, do you have additional attractions in the package like?

The beach is beautiful, long and varied.
From the pool and restaurant side, Edgewater is very friendly to bathing, with a separate safety zone without a coral reef. The catch site is picturesque, dotted with Seychelles' stones, rich in colorful reefs and teeming with underwater life.

Take a look at Outrigger Mauritius Bel Ombre
The biggest secret of the resort is the treasure hidden in the lagoon. By submerging our head under the water, we enter a completely different world, which is not reached by outside sounds. There are only us and nature.
The lagoon is covered by the OZONE ecological project, which means that it has not been used for several years, motor boats have been used there, only for safety reasons a lifeboat is moored there :-)
